Description

Come and meet Ek Balam a Mayan archaeological site in Yucatan, with majestic constructions hidden among large trees. It is a different site from other archaeological zones. It has 45 structures and is surrounded by two concentric stone walls, and another one that joins the central buildings.

These walls were used for defensive purposes and to control access. It has a ball game and a very beautiful arch where a sacbé (sacred road), which in ancient times connected the Maya kingdoms, led to. The structures have various architectural styles, but there are details that make them unique, such as images with wings that resemble angels.

You will also enjoy as an additional attraction a paradisiacal cenote close to the area so you can cool off after an exciting tour, full of wonder and history.
